A few days of warmth - then homeward bound

The morning of Sunday March 21 we left the Rio Grande Valley and headed northwest through Laredo and onward to Del Rio and Seminole Canyon State Park.

A view of the sculptured limestone canyon walls.

We enjoyed the beauty of the spring time cactus blossoms in the rugged rocky landscape.

Pecos River High Bridge - High canyon walls dominate the last 60 miles of the Pecos River before it enters the Rio Grande River. This bridge at 273 feet above the river is the highest highway bridge in Texas.

The sunrise made a colorful backdrop to the many windmills in these windy west Texas hills.

The northern half of Nebraska and all of South Dakota still showed the snow remains of this winters storms.
Crossing the Red River at Grand Forks ND.

Red River flood waters in Minnesota as we head for Highway 75.
