Greetings to our blog readers. We are excited to return to Petiticodiac, New Brunswick to serve with Ten Thousand Villages. Six years ago we helped the Petiticodiac Mennonite Church run their Festival sales as they do each fall. We will be working with two other volunteer couples in the warehouse during the week. Each weekend every couple takes a cube van of TTV products to a community for a festival sale. The sales are all planned in advance and we are all assigned to different locations in the Maritime provinces. At each location we work with the local co-ordinator and a group of volunteers who help us set up and run the sale.
The purpose of our volunteering is to serve God by serving others. Our service is helping artisans in Third World Countries by selling their wares. God expects each of us to do what we can, with what we have, wherever we are.
The plan is to leave September 29 and be back by December 15. Please keep us in your prayers and we will blog as we have news to share.
