Upon the advice of our PEI billet that we come to the island on Thursday because the weather forcast for Friday indicated high winds and that could cause the Confederation Bridge to be closed to high sided vehicles like the one we drive. By 10:30 a.m. Friday the bridge was closed and we were glad to have crossed earlier. Islanders take these situations in stride as they remember how much more difficult crossings were when they only had ferry service.
We enjoyed our two night stay with Lynn and John in Charlottetown.
The Cornwall United Church hosted this festival sale again like they have done for more than 12 years. It was a joy to meet people here with whom we worked six years ago.
Jim found the bamboo chairs in the patio display to give relief for his feet after many hours on the floor each day.
Annette arranging things in the jewelry display. This new cabinet saves a lot of time as it easily opens after transportation. The earring display behind Annette is a louvered bifold door which serves well for showing the product. At this sale we had a young boy accidentally tip the tall stand causing things to scatter across the floor. There was no damage as someone was nearby catching the falling display before it hit the floor.A large group of helpers made for a quick pack up and the possibility for us to get back to our home base Saturday night. Sunday we again were able to participate in worship and potluck lunch with the Petitcodiac Mennonite Church.
