Our Final Week & Two Home Dedications

After seven weeks of work on Shun and Sheila's home our MDS group have developed a special fondness for our clients. Since the majority of our crew will be leaving soon a house blessing was held Wednesday afternoon.

This home is nearly complete and Shun and Sheila are showing their excitement about getting back into their home after living with her mother for five and a half years.

Cake and ice cream was served after the program. Many expressions of thanks were given by family, neighbours and friends for the service we provided.

A second home blessing took place Thursday morning for Ms Treena's new house. This house was largely built by an Amish MDS group operating out of Gulfport, Mississippi. The RV team finished things up by doing the laminate, ceramic flooring and finish trim work.

Besides the MDS crew there were numerous community people present to wish Ms Treena well. It was mentioned that she was a very deserving client for this new home and that she would take good care of it.

Annette had the honour and priviledge to present Ms Treena with a Bible.

Bert hands over the keys to the new home owner.

A community lady shared how she had encouraged Treena as she applied for help and then needed to wait and wait. Her trust in God carried her through the five and a half year wait.

This plate on Ms Treena's car says it all.

We will be on the road now and may not be able to make regular posts.
